When we talk about "Simulation in Medicine" we mean the employment of tools (i.e software, dummy etc.) that in a virtual reality mode allow to simulate a standardized patient in order to reproduce situations and environments of care. The aim is to teach diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to train the execution of guidelines and instruct health professionals. Simulation tools can mark an improvement in health care security with a better training of professionals Simulation is considered a pedagogical tool able to tackling in its globality all fields of education in medicine. One possible definition is the following: "....The simulation refers to the artificial representation and/or amplification of behavior or characteristics of a simple or complex system through the use of another system in order to ensure the evaluation (through the analysis of the pathways, processes and procedures), the education (through experiential learning and cognitive analysis) and the research (through reproduction and testing of models)....."
