This paper proposes the theoretical framework and the experimental application of the active disturbance rejection control to linear induction motors. Such a non-linear control technique can be viewed as a particular kind of input-output lin- earization control technique, where the non-linear transformation of the state is not a priori given by a model, while it is estimated on-line. Such an approach permits to cope with modelling errors as well as any uncertainty in the knowledge of the model parameters. Abstract

The effectiveness of the proposed active disturbance rejection control law has been verified experimentally on a suitably developed test set-up.
