Building scenarios able to anticipate the effect of sea level rise on coastal areas is essential to rethink the future of coastal cities, including Venice. In November last year, within an Environmental studies course at the University of Venice, students carried out an experiment aimed at collecting visions of the Venetian coast's future starting from lessons learnt during the episode of storm surge 50 years ago (aqua granda flood). The students built scenarios based not only on scientific input but also on the futurescape tours methodology involving inhabitants of the barrier islands of Lido and Pellestrina. This presentation will explore two main questions: (ii) can participatory and experiential methodologies, such as futurescape tours, help students developing a responsible attitude enabling them to work in an anticipatory and inclusive way in their future professional activities? (ii) is this experiment an instance of (a necessary) "post-normal education"?

Abstract
(ii) is this experiment an instance of (a necessary) "post-normal education"?I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
