Employers adopt preventive OH&S, to inform, involve and consult with Safety Worker Representatives. Previous studies provide valuable insights, allows to frame a theoretical framework. However, literature rarely adopt the maturity perspective, even when adopted, there is no study specifically in Italy, considering the proven influence of particular national regulations. This paper explores the relationship between OH&S organizational maturity, the role of workers' representatives, and the OH&S performance through a questionnaire in a large-scale sample of Italian representatives. Thanks to the cluster analysis, the results suggest four participative models of organization/representative maturity level and their correlation with the OH&S performance.
