Abstract
The paper addresses how smart technologies can be used to enhance the cultural heritage experience throughout the visitors' journey time and space. As its main contribution, it presents a model of smart technology-enhanced cultural heritage experience at tourism destinations. In the model, the application of smart technologies is not limited to the onsite stage of the cultural experience, but is extended also to the pre- and post-stages. The pilot testing of the model at a cultural heritage site provides insights into the opportunities to use a combination of applications for facilitating and enriching the cultural visit at the destination according to an extended, multi-stage perspective of the heritage experience.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
