This report gives an overview on the PRIMA Safety System design activity carried out in 2016 with focus on MITICA and the interface with the PRIMA-SPIDER Safety System. and on safety aspects regarding globally PRIMA and the NBTF. The aim of the PRIMA Safety System is to deal with all the safety hazards and manage safety risks in a coordinated way. MITICA safety aspects are here considered only with regard to integration with SPIDER and global PRIMA aspects, since the part of the Safety System regarding MITICA will be managed more deeply in 2016.
