In this work, the effects of atmosphere on the Flash Point (FP) of liquid substances and their mixtures is evaluated. Calculations have been performed by taking into account their non-ideality. Results have shown that both pure substances and mixtures are affected by the O2 enriched atmosphere, giving FP values lower than 5 °C. In conclusion, from a safety point of view, measurements/calculations of the FP at different atmospheres become mandatory.

Abstract
In this work, the effects of atmosphere on the Flash Point (FP) of liquid substances and their mixtures is evaluated. Calculations have been performed by taking into account their non-ideality. Results have shown that both pure substances and mixtures are affected by the O2 enriched atmosphere, giving FP values lower than 5 °C. In conclusion, from a safety point of view, measurements/calculations of the FP at different atmospheres become mandatory.File in questo prodotto:
