Integrated magnetometers based on low critical temperature superconducting quantum interference device with a variable integrated additional positive feedback circuit have been designed, fabricated and characterized. Design improvements and experimental results concerning voltage-flux characteristics and noise performances of the devices are presented. Due to their compactness and low magnetic field noise, such devices well meet the requirements of large multichannel systems for measurements of biomagnetism (magnetoencephalography-MEG). © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. Abstract
