During the 18 months period many processes to manage the project have been organized and shared among the Project beneficiaries. The project management system, including guidelines and procedures, has been defined and implemented in order to provide partners with rules, tasks and tools to be applied during the project's life. The MycoKey governance boards have been set, through a series of meetings, starting from the Kick off meetings held at the beginning of the project, both in Europe and China. Financial issues, including the funding transfers to partners, have been managed. The Amendment to the Technical Annex (TA) has accepted by Commission to solve some emerging problems, with minor changes to the TA and a new one is on progress to mitigate the risk arising from P31 withdrawal. Communication with EU project officer has been held through meetings (kick off, Coordinators' day in Brussels, e-mail and phone calls). Internal communication process has been activated through skype calls, continuous exchange of e-mails. The MycoKey collaborative platform is an innovative and effective tool for boost partners cooperation and workspace to share documents. The project monitoring has been established by using management tools as quarterly reports, Work packages scoreboard, risk table. The Chinese partners management has been agreed with Chinese representatives, and guidelines defined. The Chinese proposal has been submitted to MOST, definitively approved at the end of 2016; the kick off meeting was organized in Beijing. The innovation management focused on putting the basis to organize and monitor the innovation process, by defining procedures and tools for open access publications, IPR, IPUC board and compliance with background and foreground. Additional tools have been prepared for the monitoring of results.
