We have developed a multi-suspension seat for earth-moving machines. The suspension mechanism is constructed by stacking two suspensions of 40 mm stroke in series. The multi-suspension controls the phase by arranging the suspensions having different soft spring constant and damping coefficient in series. The multi-suspension in series arrangement functions as an anti-vibration mechanism with arbitrary dead zone, which enabled to reduce gain of the resonance peak by the phase control. The multi-suspension seat satisfies EM 6, 7, 8, 9 of ISO7096:2000.
