New acrylic based polymers containing a short perfluoroether block have been synthesized by ATRP (Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization). The "living" nature of this polymerization allows to control the molecular weight and the Fluorine/Hydrogen ratio. An improvement, although limited to short exposition times, in the photo-stability of the new partially fluorinated polymers in comparison with the non fluorinated one's may be due to the perfluoroether block.

Abstract
New acrylic based polymers containing a short perfluoroether block have been synthesized by ATRP (Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization). The "living" nature of this polymerization allows to control the molecular weight and the Fluorine/Hydrogen ratio. An improvement, although limited to short exposition times, in the photo-stability of the new partially fluorinated polymers in comparison with the non fluorinated one's may be due to the perfluoroether block.File in questo prodotto:
