In the framework of the program for the construction of 1 MeV - 16 MW negative neutral beam injector (NNBI) for ITER, an R& D activity on voltage holding in vacuum has been initiated since 2009, aimed at supporting the design, construction, and development of the NNBI accelerator. For this purpose a Laboratory for the investigation on high voltage holding in vacuum has been set up . This Laboratory, namely High Voltage Padova Test Facility (HVPTF) is presently capable of experiments up to 8 00 kV dc . HVPTF supports the electrostatic design and the development of the NNBI prototype which is presently under construction in Padova (I taly). Abstract
This paper deal with the typical issues concerning the voltage holding in high vacuum and reports some evidences observed in laboratory during the experimental campaigns.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
