This report gives an overview on the PRIMA Safety System design activity, with focus on PRIMA safety issues, which are necessary for SPIDER operation. T he Central Safety System (CSS) architecture is defined, as well as the requirements about protecti on, functional, general design, hardware and softwa re aspects. The design phase has developed interfaces and signals among CSS, its subsystems, experimental and conventional Plant Units. The organizational safety aspects are described, with particular attention to procedures and check-lists to be applied for safe operations in all phases of working activities, including emergency situations.

Abstract
This report gives an overview on the PRIMA Safety System design activity, with focus on PRIMA safety issues, which are necessary for SPIDER operation. T he Central Safety System (CSS) architecture is defined, as well as the requirements about protecti on, functional, general design, hardware and softwa re aspects. The design phase has developed interfaces and signals among CSS, its subsystems, experimental and conventional Plant Units. The organizational safety aspects are described, with particular attention to procedures and check-lists to be applied for safe operations in all phases of working activities, including emergency situations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
