The main achievements on periodic control obtained so far are outlined. They are organized in two parts, analysis and control. In the first part, it isshown how periodicity arises in some applications and basic analysis notions are outlined, including stability, time-domain and frequency-domain representations, and norm performance computations are discussed. The second part deals with control methods, starting with the concept of cycling in order to improve the performance, and proceeding with optimal and robust control.
