The article comments Court of Cassation' s Judgment of 17 July 2014 concerning the case of an Italian priest sought for crimes against humanity in Argentina. Is is illustrated the resoning of the Court that simply quashed the allegationns since, in the absence of the crime of torture in the Italian criminal law, the allegations that have an equivalent under Italian domestic law, namely personal injuriesand abduction, were time-barred.
