Abstract
The Snow Observation in Svalbard (SOS) project is an international collaborative effort for the SIOS pilot project call of October 2017.1 1/ SEES 2018 report contribution for snow, identification of existing snow data and core data sets to be implemented in SIOS as well as identifying gaps that warrant further research. Further contribution for future eporting are also suggested (section 7) 2/ A transect data set using a simple procedure to test its feasibility in real time (from field work to data delivery) 3/ Collect the existing data set in snow from different institutions and countries 4/ Exchange of researchers between Ny-Ålesund and Hornsund to discover each other's field sites, facilities, and techniques in the field: harmonization of measurement procedures and development of a larger snow program in the future 5/ Release of the simple and harmonized procedure for field measurements of core geophysical snow datasets 6/ Outreach through short instructional videos for students/researchers and webinars for high schools.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
