The motivations for reconsidering the origin(s) of cosmic rays remain as valid as they were two years ago. While we have a standard model, or better perhaps a standard folklore, the reasons to be somewhat sceptical have if anything increased. In this talk I will survey the arguments for and against the standard SNR origin for the Galactic component of the cosmic rays. I will also briefly review the evidence for a distinct component coming from the Galactic centre.
Cosmic Ray Origin(s) revisited

Abstract
The motivations for reconsidering the origin(s) of cosmic rays remain as valid as they were two years ago. While we have a standard model, or better perhaps a standard folklore, the reasons to be somewhat sceptical have if anything increased. In this talk I will survey the arguments for and against the standard SNR origin for the Galactic component of the cosmic rays. I will also briefly review the evidence for a distinct component coming from the Galactic centre.File in questo prodotto:
