The study proposes a research work centered on the Dominican feminine convents in the territory of the Kingdom of Sicily until now little known to historiography. It specifically addressed are the foundations and the events relating to the three oldest monasteries of Campania between 13th and 14th century: San Domenico of Benevento, Sant'Anna of Nocera and San Pietro in Castello in Naples. It also sought to underline their links with the monarchy, the papacy and the local ecclesiastical institutions.
Lo studio propone un lavoro di ricerca compiuto sui monasteri femminili domenicani nelle regioni del Regno di Sicilia sino ad ora poco noti alla storiografia. In particolare, vengono affrontate le fondazioni e le vicende relative ai tre più antichi monasteri campani tra XIII e XIV secolo: San Domenico di Benevento, Sant'Anna di Nocera e San Pietro a Castello a Napoli. Si è inoltre cercato di evidenziare i loro legami con i sovrani, il papato e le istituzioni ecclesiastiche locali.
