The focus of this presentation is the assembly of advanced materials with complementary functions in distinctive hydrophobic hybrid-composite membranes. For instance, PVDF, PES, HYFLON AD are integrated in membranes with other materials, including hydrophobic viologen salts, graphene and chalcogenides. The functional membranes show cutting-edge morphological and chemical features, which make them powerfully interesting interfaces in water desalination in regard to productivity and efficiency of the processes. An overview on practical routes for designing membranes with unique properties for membrane distillation and membrane crystallization processes is given in comparison with literature data.

Abstract
The focus of this presentation is the assembly of advanced materials with complementary functions in distinctive hydrophobic hybrid-composite membranes. For instance, PVDF, PES, HYFLON AD are integrated in membranes with other materials, including hydrophobic viologen salts, graphene and chalcogenides. The functional membranes show cutting-edge morphological and chemical features, which make them powerfully interesting interfaces in water desalination in regard to productivity and efficiency of the processes. An overview on practical routes for designing membranes with unique properties for membrane distillation and membrane crystallization processes is given in comparison with literature data.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
