We demonstrate that silver porous nanocubes fabricated by galvanic replacement offer a better SERS efficiency than standard silver nanocubes. Detection of heme-proteins in resonance and non-resonant conditions has been achieved at nanomolar concentration, proving the high sensitivity of isolated porous nanocubes at physiological pH.
