A few species found in Gulf of Taranto during some trawl surveys have been object of study population dynamic. This ecological study is very important for a correct planning of gestional mangement of the demersal resources. It has been shown the presence of Mullus babatus in shallow water during summer and autumn along west side coast of Gulf of Taranto. The recruits of Gadiformes have been caught mostly in spring at a depth of between 100 and 500 m. The most important species regarding Crustacea are: Aristeus antennatus and Parapeneus longirostris. The former is batial and it has been found beyond the bathymetric of 400 m, whereas the latter has shown an increase in mean size relative to the increase in depth.
