The congress was about the presence in Medieval and Renaissance poetry of the so-called category of "poetical memory", namely the reprise either conscious or unconscious in a poetic work of stilistic or rythmic or lexical elements from another poet or from other works of the same poet. This category was especially investigated in its relationships with the issues of philological reconstrucion.
Il convegno ha analizzato la funzione nella poesia medievale e rinascimentale della cosiddetta "memoria poetica", ovvero la ripresa, conscia o meno, da parte di un poeta, di stilemi, versificazione, lessemi, rime e altri elementi già precedentemente impiegati in opere proprie o altrui. La memoria poetica è stata soprattutto analizzata nelle sue intersezioni con i problemi della ricostruzione filologica.
