n Italy, several projects for the deploy-ment of ICT infrastructures to support the smart cityconcept are active. One of the main components isthe control of the vehicles traffic. However, the needsof pedestrians should be considered, aiming to guidetheir navigation in the city and to offer support if theyhave problems. The system should be inclusive andpersonalized, including: (i) people without specific re-quirements (e.g. with context-based instructions andallowing requests in free format); (ii) fragile peopleas old people offering additional support (e.g. tellingthem where they are, if they are lost, and guiding themhome); (iii) people with activity limitations, with sup-ports based on their specific limitation (e.g. giving ac-cessible information about the environment).
