This work was carried out in a working research project funded by the Ministry of Economic Development; the name of project is MUS&O. This activity involved the design and development of a Spatial Data Warehous and Spatial OLAP prototype. The completed project shows how it is possible to provide the user with a complete analysis tool. The aim of the prototype is to show on innovative instruments (smartphone or tablet), the localization of environments and cultural sites together with the specific information of the cultural element, near which the user is located. The aim was to create a database containing more information, and at the same time more detailed information about the cultural heritage that the visitor intends to explore. The design and implementation of the software application for both the SOLAP cube and the OLAP cube provides the visitor user with a support tool for the analysis of heterogeneous data and sources.
