Within the flourishing production of Etruscan bronze mirrors it is possible to identify a small group particularly influenced by Attic red-figure pottery. These mirrors are decorated with complex mythological scenes and have a specific feature: a figured border. Some years ago it was possible to identify an Etruscan mirrors workshop that used iconographic motifs taken from Attic pottery to express specific aspects of Etruscan culture (Ambrosini 2004). Through this case-study we will try to demonstrate how this phenomenon applies not only to the iconography, but also to the structure itself of the decoration. It is a matter of great interest because obviously also involves the organization of Etruscan bronze workshops.
