Abstract

The so-called memristors are new fundamental circuitelements able to relate the basic electric variables of flux-linkage and charge. Their storing properties and functioning propose them as artificial analogs of biological synapsisand hence of memory phenomenon. Recent advances innanomaterials provided organic polymeric (i.e. polyaniline, PANI) and inorganic memristors with similar activity. In the present work, we are interested to analyze theinteraction of biological systems with memristive devicesin order to understand novel approaches to informationtransfer and processing in bio-electronics. Focusing ourattention to the biological component of the hybrid system,we started testing and analyzing the viability of cell lines (HEK, SH-SY5Y).....
