The spatial resolution achieved in many back-illuminated Charge Coupled Device (CCD) x-ray detectors is limited by the charge spread over the pixels. For low flux measurements charge-cloud centroiding methods can achieve sub-pixel spatial resolution. Experimental measurements have been performed testing the performance of commercially available soft x-ray CCD detectors (Amorese et al., 2019). Abstract
In this technical note the centroiding methods used and the numerical tests performed to test the method are described. Finally, more advanced corrective algorithms are discussed. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.File in questo prodotto:
