Abstract
Potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) single crystals were grown using a high temperature solution technique. A series of growth runs was performed to produce analogie crystals in which varying percentages of potassium, titanium and phosphorus were replaced by other elements. These analogue crystals and other reported data were used to make a systematic study of the degree of pseudo-symmetry and structural distortions in compounds of the KTP family. Where single crystal second-harmonic generation measurements were available, efforts were made to link the structural distortions to the observed non-linear optical properties.File in questo prodotto:
