The article is a short comment on the law No 131 of 29 July 2015. With this law, Italy ratified the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance ('CPED') which entered into force on 23 December 2010. The CPED represents the most important step in international human rights law concerning forced disappearances.
