On-line analysis of cardiovascular signals is generally a difficult task; however, cardiovascular signals often have certain characteristics that simplify this task. These characteristics are summarized in the first part of this paper. The main features of a microprocessor-based system for the on-line analysis of cardiovascular signals are outlined and results presented. The system software is easy to modify to fit the requirements of several types of biological experiments or clinical measurements. A prototype was built and employed for studying the effects induced in cardiovascular systems by drug administration.

Abstract
On-line analysis of cardiovascular signals is generally a difficult task; however, cardiovascular signals often have certain characteristics that simplify this task. These characteristics are summarized in the first part of this paper. The main features of a microprocessor-based system for the on-line analysis of cardiovascular signals are outlined and results presented. The system software is easy to modify to fit the requirements of several types of biological experiments or clinical measurements. A prototype was built and employed for studying the effects induced in cardiovascular systems by drug administration.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
