Abstract - The aim of this work is to use land capability and site catchment with the aid of spatial analysis to the reconstruction and consequently to lay the foundation for knowledge and conservation of deserted medieval settlements in the Basilicata Region. In particular, here the study of the main strategic agricultural resources capability is done for two sites in order to set the basis to better understand the capability of each site and the relationships between the settlements.
