Il restauro strutturale come atto critico. il caso del rosone di Troia

The article shows the results of an experience of research, design and construction in the Trojan Cathedral with particular reference to the rose window and the main facade. The knowledge of the article with the aid of diagnostic investigations made it possible to reconstruct the historical track construction-disruption-transformation and reaching an intervention of structural improvement characterized by the conservation of the original mechanical behavior and by the choice of solutions of limited irreversibility

L'articolo mostra i risultati di un'esperienza di ricerca, progettazione e cantiere maturata nella Cattedrale di Troia con particolare riferimento al rosone e alla facciata principale. La conoscenza del manufatto con l'ausilio di indagini diagnostiche ha consentito di ricostruire il tracciato storico costruzione-dissesto-trasformazione e pervenire ad un intervento di miglioramento strutturale caratterizzato dalla conservazione dei comportamenti meccanici originali e dalla scelta di soluzioni tecniche di limitata irreversibilità
