The Chapman-Enskog method is applied to equilibrium air plasma in the presence of a magnetic field in order to calculate the transport coefficients in a wide temperature range. Several results are presented showing the influence of the magnetic field on the transport properties of the plasma. Common approximations used in modeling are discussed. The method is applicable also to chemical nonequilibrium conditions and it is believed to be a valuable tool for MHD studies of aerospace interest. Abstract
