A series of high molecular weight aliphatic poly(ester amide)s was obtained from sebacic acid and amino alcohols, with and without the use of a chain extender. The structural characterization was performed by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and NMR. Film samples were subjected to soil burial degradation test and the relative weight losses were evaluated. P(HB), P(HB-co-HV) 76/24, PCL and two Bionolle commercial samples were also studied for comparison. The poly(ester amide)s synthesized and analyzed show a good biodegradation extent.

Abstract
A series of high molecular weight aliphatic poly(ester amide)s was obtained from sebacic acid and amino alcohols, with and without the use of a chain extender. The structural characterization was performed by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and NMR. Film samples were subjected to soil burial degradation test and the relative weight losses were evaluated. P(HB), P(HB-co-HV) 76/24, PCL and two Bionolle commercial samples were also studied for comparison. The poly(ester amide)s synthesized and analyzed show a good biodegradation extent.File in questo prodotto:
