Nanoscale Pt particles (is-approximately-equal-to 30-40 Angstrom) have been generated by clustering of Pt atoms from arene solvated Pt atoms, obtained by reaction of Pt vapour and toluene or mesitylene. HRTEM and SEM analyses have been performed on the prepared Pt aggregates.
