The distribution of Isopods and its variations in time along a water movement gradient in the Port of Ischia has been studied. This gradient appears to be responsible for a zonation that identifies an "outer community" at its positive pole and an "inner community" at its negative pole. The latter is formed through a quali-quantitative reduction of the "outer community" with significant dominance inversions of some ubiquit species.
