Genoa has been a favorite set for many crime novel authors, as it is an almost natural set for the Mediterranean noir. Bruno Morchio, writer and psychoanalyst, has located in Genoa his nine - as far as today - novels based on his detective Bacci Pagano. This essay aims to trace that peculiar soundscape, made mainly by winds and water, which surrounds Pagano and which underlines his movements, his thoughts and his investigations, making his adventures deeply rooted within the Genoese geography and cultural identity.
