The roman villa of Patti Marina (ME) : new data for a chronological sequence of the site transformations · The paper presents the preliminary results of the activities carried out between 2015 and 2018 by the University of Messina, directed by G. F. La Torre, in collaboration with the Soprintendenza di Messina, the Parco Archeologico di Tindari and the cnr-ispc Catania, in the area of the Roman Villa of Patti (ME). The excavations, the studies of the pottery, the drawings of the construction techniques, the readings of the wall stratigraphies, in fact, allowed to develop a first chronological sequence of the transformation phases in the area, from the Hellenistic age until the early medieval period, with the identification of six main periods of frequentation.
