Abstract

The industrial production of Puglia was made of oil, wine and wheat carefully chosen for export and to give life to the main industries of the region. In addition to the transformation of agricultural products, the Apulian industry is linked to craft activities which in some cases have given rise to nationally and internationally renowned industries; think of the wood and leather industries; working with clay for terracotta kitchen items; wrought iron; papier-mâché; of the hat and more. These industrial activities have left on the territory factories of considerable interest which today constitute a peculiar heritage linked to the workplace; in some of them, for four to five generations they have continued to produce quality products that are the excellence of Apulian production. The contribution demonstrates how visiting these companies can create a cultural itinerary of excellence that allows you to visit both the historic factory and the company, thus helping to activate a process of local development and territorial marketing. The itinerary winds through the entire Apulian territory.
