In this work, the effects due to the absence of an intermediate layer are experimentally investigated by using two supported Pd/Al2O3 and Pd-Au/Al2O3 membranes. Permeation tests were performed with pure gases such as H2, He, N2, CO2, CH4 in order to calculate the H2 perm-selectivities for both the membranes, by varying the temperature between 300 and 425 °C and the transmembrane pressure between 150 and 200 kPa.
