Three-dimensional echocardiography (3DE) is increasingly used for the evaluation of children with congenital heart disease (CHD).1 Indications for 3DE include not only characterization of complex defects but also measurements of chamber volumes and valvular and vascular dimensions.1 Ventricular volumes by 3DE have superior agreement with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT), as compared with those obtained by 2D echocardiography (2DE).
