Abstract
Following evidence derived in the field and from previous numerical experiments, we carry out wave modeling tests where the white-capping and wind input source functions are modified to be functions of also the rain rate and the wind speed. We show the high sensitivity of the results to these parameterizations and how related physically sound, but purely intuitive, choices can reproduce almost perfectly the original results also in extreme conditions. We discuss the related physical and numerical implications.File in questo prodotto:
