A reflection configuration scheme is proposed and experimentally realized for the excitation of open dielectric resonators. Such configuration is based on the integration of a quasi-single mode dielectric waveguide with a nonradiative mirror. Insertion loss of about 1 dB and negligible stationary waves has been demonstrated around 190 GHz.

Abstract
