The aim of this article is to present the findings from a case study carried out on female scientists of the National Research Council aimed at exploring how genderbased discrimination is shaped in research environment. The hypothesis is that gender-based discriminations are one of the causes of the under-representation of women in science and constitute the reason of a huge waste of talents.
