The project 'Sportello Matematico per l'Industria Italiana' begun in 2012 in the Istituto per le Applicazioni del Calcolo "Mauro Picone" of the Italian National Research Council is intended to bring those with skills in applied and industrial mathematics together with industry and businesses to facilitate cooperation between mathematicians and industry, so that such collaborations become more frequent and systematic.
