Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the most prominent technologies. Simple objects gain the ability to store, process and exchange information among themselves or with external entities. Being exchanged information extremely sensitive, due to the nature of IoT de- vices and networks, cyber security of IoT systems is a critical topic to be investigated in deep. In order to investigate security about IoT context, well-know and innovative attacks are analyzed against an IoT ad-hoc communication protocol called ZigBee. In this work, an innovative threat against ZigBee called Remotely AT Command attack is presented. Also, a protection system is implemented in order to mitigate and protect the devices from this innovative threat.

Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the most prominent technologies. Simple objects gain the ability to store, process and exchange information among themselves or with external entities. Being exchanged information extremely sensitive, due to the nature of IoT de- vices and networks, cyber security of IoT systems is a critical topic to be investigated in deep. In order to investigate security about IoT context, well-know and innovative attacks are analyzed against an IoT ad-hoc communication protocol called ZigBee. In this work, an innovative threat against ZigBee called Remotely AT Command attack is presented. Also, a protection system is implemented in order to mitigate and protect the devices from this innovative threat.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
