ERA-PLANET "The European Network for Observing our Changing Planet" is an ERA-NET Co-fund action funded under the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme (Grant Agreement number 689443), which aims to strengthen the coordination of European research programmes in the field of Earth Observation (EO), within the Group on Earth Observations (GEO, https://www.earthobservations.org/index.php) and the European Earth observation Copernicus programme (www.copernicus.eu). The overarching objective of ERA-PLANET is the development of a Transnational Environmental Observation System in Support of European & International Policies through the Integration of real-time monitoring data from various platforms, modelling tools and advanced global cyber-infrastructure for data sharing and interoperability. The consortium includes the most active European Public Bodies in the field of Earth Observation. Participating to ERA-PLANET are 35 partners from all over Europe.

Abstract

This Intermediate report complies with Article 19 of ERA-PLANET Grant Agreement (GA) and consists in a 'progress report' which contains: - an explanation of the work carried out by the beneficiaries in the intermediate period of ERA-PLANET activity (from 1 July 2017 - 31 January 2019 / i.e. Month 18 - Month 36); - an overview of the progress towards the objectives of the action, including milestones and other deliverables identified in Annex 1. - explanations justifying the differences between work expected to be carried out in accordance with Annex 1 and that actually carried out; - a summary for eventual publication by the European Commission.
