New applications of white slag (SMS) through the lime value chain are investigated in this paper. To this aim, a mapping of the technologies of SMS is developed. Consequently, a framework is created for the value chain, consisting of steel, lime, and potential user industries to evaluate the possible synergies from a collaborative industrial cluster towards a circular economy. The application of the framework is investigated through a scenario-based analysis.

Abstract
