The presentation introduces community management tools, such as Place Management, Strategic Stakeholder Dialogue (SSD), and Transition Management (TM), with the scope of establishing experiments in the field of heritage management. It outlines a living lab approach for "empowering" communities, by describing how it could work, its phases for development a case-study, and finally how to make it transferable with the Strategic Transition Management (STM). STM promotes a local community's positive evolution, building capacity in the involved regions, among public bodies, communities, private companies, practitioners, academics and any other stakeholder.
