L'on connaît deux traductions italiennes médiévales des Métamorphoses : celle faite par le notaire Arrigo Simintendi dans la première moitié du XIVe siècle et la traduction-commentaire de Giovanni Bonsignori (1375 environ). Ces deux oeuvres proposent deux "modèles" de livre différents et présentent deux stratégies distinctes de traduction, que nous allons essayer de décrire brièvement.
